FYI - The conference hotel is the Best Western Holiday Manor which is directly east of the conference venue.  The IAWEA hotel rate of $65 per night is available by calling the hotel at (641) 792-3333.  You must specify that you are with the IAWEA group.


If you are not yet a member of IAWEA an Iowa Only membership is available for only $20.00 per year.  You save much more than that on this conference alone.

If you do not wish to purchase an Iowa Only membership you must first select "I'd like to purchase a Membership".  You will then have the option to select "I don't want to become a member".

  • Speaker registration is free but with limitations. You may join us for lunch and attend sessions on the day(s) you speak. However no CEU's or PDH's will be awarded for a free Speaker registration. If you wish to receive education credits please register and pay for the conference as any other attendee.

  • Student registration is free but there is a charge for meals and refreshments. No CEU's or PDH's will be awarded for a free Student registration. If you wish to receive education credits please register and pay for the conference as any other attendee.

  • This option will allow you to sign up for the Collection Systems exam only. You must still select the exam option offered below to take the exam and complete the necessary information section. This option does not allow you to attend any other sessions of the conference.

  • Wednesday and Thursday of the conference including all meals.

  • Attendance on Wednesday only including breakfast and lunch.

  • Attendance on Thursday only including breakfast and lunch.

  • A retired member is defined as a current WEF or Iowa Only member who is no longer actively employed in the wastewater industry, not even part time.

  • A Young Professional Member is defined as a WEF or Iowa Only member less than 35 years old and who has been in the wastewater industry less than 5 years.

  • Wednesday and Thursday of the conference including all meals.

  • Attendance on Wednesday only including breakfast and lunch.

  • Attendance on Thursday only including breakfast and lunch.

  • A Young Professional is defined as less than 35 years old and who has been in the wastewater industry less than 5 years.

  • This selection reserves a booth in the Exhibit Hall and includes up to two lunches that day. Booths are not assigned as it is first come first served. Most booths will have electricity but it is not guaranteed. The Exhibit area will open at 8am on Wednesday and close at 5pm. Continental breakfast and break refreshments will be served in the Exhibit area. A social hour with hors d'oeuvres and beer will be held in the Exhibit area from 4pm-5pm.

IAWEA expects all attendees, speakers, sponsors, media, and other participants to uphold our commitment to diversity and inclusion by helping us provide a positive conference environment for everyone.
IAWEA has zero-tolerance for any form of discrimination or harassment, including but not limited to sexual harassment by participants or our staff at our meetings. IAWEA will take any action deemed necessary and appropriate, including immediate removal from the meeting without warning or refund, in response to any incident of unacceptable behavior, and IAWEA reserves the right to prohibit attendance at any future meeting, virtually or in person.
If you experience harassment or hear of any incidents of unacceptable behavior, IAWEA asks that you immediately email the Secretary or Secretary-Treasurer at the contact link listed at www.iawea.org.

Unacceptable behavior is defined as:
Negative comments about race/ethnicity, gender and gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, religion, physical appearance, citizenship, or other protected categories
Unwelcome sexual attention, including inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces or in presentations
Threatening, stalking, or endangerment of others
Any activity meant to cultivate hostility, ad hominem insults or other attacks.

We do not tolerate the following:
Disruption of presentations during sessions, exhibitions, or at other events organized by IAWEA throughout the meeting. All participants must comply with the instructions of the moderator and any IAWEA event staff.
Presentations, postings, and messages should not contain promotional materials, special offers, job offers, product announcements, or solicitation for services. IAWEA reserves the right to remove such messages and potentially ban sources of those solicitations.
Participants should not copy or take screen shots of any technical presentations, sponsor demonstration, Q&A or any chat room activity that takes place in a virtual meeting space.
